The four plaids that make up Vær are created with Iceland’s
diverse and ever-changing weather in mind. Charts from four weather
stations are used, by picking a random year from each station for each
plaid. The outcome is a pattern created mostly by the weather itself,

The plaids are made
from organic cotton and are woven by Ekelund in Sweden. Ekelund has
been weaving since 1692 and is one of the most sustainable textile
companies in the world.
